Eligibility Criteria for EDG Grant
- A company that is registered and operating in Singapore.
- The company possesses a minimum of 30% local equity, directly or indirectly held by Singaporean(s) and Singapore PR(s), based on ultimate individual ownership
- The business has the necessary resources to initiate and complete the project. Financial metrics commonly used, such as the current ratio, will be assessed.
- Sales turnover under S$100M and less than 200 employees

The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) supports Singaporean businesses in their expansion and transformation endeavours. This Enterprise SG Grant is structured into three categories, providing assistance for initiatives focused on international expansion, innovation, and business modernization:
Core Capabilities
Projects falling under the Core Capabilities category help businesses enhance their foundational aspects, going beyond basic operations such as accounting and sales, to prepare for growth and transformation.
Innovation and Productivity
Initiatives categorized under Innovation and Productivity aid businesses in exploring new avenues for expansion and enhancing productivity. This may involve reviews and redesigns of processes and workflows, as well as leveraging technology and automation to boost efficiency in repetitive tasks.
Market Access
Market Access projects support Singaporean businesses prepared for international expansion. The Enterprise Singapore EDG Grant can be utilized to partially offset costs associated with entering global markets.

Companies keen to apply for the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) should meet these criteria:
1.Be registered and operating in Singapore.
2.Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding.
3.Be in a financially viable position to start and complete the project.
The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) funds up to 50- 70% of qualifying costs for SMEs. Grant applications will be assessed on Group Revenue and Group Employment Size. Refer to the ESG’s page under specific project categories for any other eligibility conditions.

Based on our previous experiences, it will take approximately 3 months for the implementation and another 3 months to follow through the project to see the intended business results.

Five areas supported include business strategy development, financial management, human capital development, service excellence, and strategic brand and marketing development.
Innovation and Productivity – Projects under this pillar support companies that explore new areas of growth, or look for ways to enhance efficiency. Three areas supported include automation, process redesign, and product development.
Market Access – Projects under this pillar support Singapore companies that are willing and ready to venture overseas. Three areas supported include Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), pilot project and test bedding, and standards adoption.

No, there is no limit to the number of times you can apply for Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) however for each pillar, businesses can only apply once.

You have to submit the necessary information for an EDG application:
