Our Case Studies- Leverstyle Limited
The Discovery
Executive Chairman of Leverstyle Limited, Hong Kong
In 2017 our company was in the middle of change, we had a big business model change in 2015. We were on our way to becoming the company that we are today. When there is changes, there’s a lot of stuff that need to be done. For me, business success comes down to several factors.
First is People, do you have the right people in the business?
Second is Strategy, are your business heading towards the right direction?
Third is Execution, we may have the best strategy but we can’t execute it to the max. Strategies are not worth the piece of paper it’s written on.
We have really good people, especially the senior executive team that was in place few years before that. We had a sound strategy to go towards, but our execution was inconsistent. That’s why when I came across Rockefeller Habits , and learned about all the Rhythms and disciplines that would instill in the company.
The Transformation
In 2017, we started implementing Rockefeller Habits into the way we manage our company on a day to day, week by week, and month by month basis. It really helped us and kept us more disciplined, in terms of what should we discuss about, which KPIs are we supposed to look at, how we are going to come up with annual review.
Nothing rocket science, just having playbook and being able to stick to it gives us the discipline of keeping our execution going at a strong level. Otherwise, if you have some staff changes or people just get busy with something and forget about it. By following the Rockefeller Habits playbook, we became more discipline in terms of execution.
It’s the discipline of looking at the data points or KPIs on a weekly basis helped us overcome the execution challenges. We able to decide whether to touch base on a daily basis, on a monthly basis, and our daily task . The Rockefeller Habits really helped us tighten things up because there’s a set agenda, even if we have management changes we will stick to the same program.
Achievement:
In China, we work with JD.com, YanXuan platform. So that’s about half of our sales. We are very fortunate to be working with many great clients, and our business is growing. A year and half ago, we went public on Hong Kong Stock Exchange to raise capital for acquisitions. Since 9 months ago, the pandemic made acquisitions a little bit easier to do, and we have completed 4 acquisitions.
